Biofuels

Bioethanol and biodiesel are the two most common types of biofuel. Bioethanol is an alcohol made by fermentation, mostly from carbohydrates produced in sugar or starch crops. We trade mainly second-generation biodiesel which is in accordance with the European standard EN14214. Depending on customer requirements, some parameters can be varied like CFPP, Oxidation stability or Water Content. Unlike with Bioethanol, the biodiesel we trade is waste-based, which means no arable land will be used solely for the production of fuel and there will be less carbon emission.

Biomass

Biomass is plant or animal material used for energy production (electricity or heat), or in various industrial processes as raw material for a range of products.

It can be grown energy crops, wood or forest residues, waste from food crops, horticulture, food processing, animal farming, or human waste from sewage plants.

As a renewable energy source, biomass releases CO2 when it is burned. However, CO2 that is released from burning biomass will be cycled back into new crops, this recycling of CO2 from plants to atmosphere and back into plants can even be CO2 negative.

Waste-Based Feedstocks

The feedstocks used to generate second-generation biofuels are not in conflict with food or feed usage and land which has not been intentionally converted to farmland. Therefore we can guarantee a CO2 savings of more than 80% versus fossil fuels.
